About The Partner
Lincoln Center is one of the world’s leading performing arts centers. Located in the heart of New York City on a 16-acre campus, it houses 12 prestigious cultural organizations: Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts (Lincoln Center), The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, The Film Society of Lincoln Center, Jazz at Lincoln Center, The Juilliard School, Lincoln Center Theater, The Metropolitan Opera, New York City Ballet, New York City Opera, New York Philharmonic, The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, and The School of American Ballet.
Since Lincoln Center first opened its doors, it has been a major contributor to New York City’s cultural and intellectual life, with an internationally recognized dedication to artistic excellence. Lincoln Center’s Vera List Art Project, established in 1962 by philanthropists Vera and Albert List, is one of the oldest publishing print programs in the country. It was established to both support the visual arts and to raise funds for Lincoln Center. Since its inception, the project has commissioned major artists of the time to create works available for sale to the public. Aptly described as a history of the graphic arts in America, works in the Vera List collection have a consistent record of appreciation. With over 125 artists, the Vera List Art Project remains in the forefront of art trends offering works by a who’s who of the contemporary art world.
