Stelios Faitakis

Stelios Faitakis attended the Athens School of Fine Arts and lives in Athens. His large-scale paintings combine references to graffiti and street art, Mexican Muralism, Italian and Dutch painting from the 14th and 15th centuries, and Byzantine religious iconography. Drawing connections between conflicts over time and across the map, he presented the mural Socrates Drinks the Conium at the first Athens Biennial in 2007.
