    About The Work

The simplistic, dual imagery of this print by Alistair Frost belies its complex purpose: here, like the Pop artists before him, Frost conflates high art with a low culture subject (kitschy tropical symbolism). Frost’s playful title conjures “clickable” Internet headlines, and his stripped-down imagery calls to mind digital clipart. As such, Frost carries the Pop agenda into the 21st century. This print, part silkscreen and part pigment print with debossing, was produced in an edition of 100.
