    About The Work

The knotted gun ”Non-Violence” was originally created by Swedish artist Carl Fredrik Reuterswärd as a memorial tribute to John Lennon after he was shot and killed in New York City in December 1980. Ernst and Robin painted their knotted gun together – Ernst dipping tennis balls into the paint, Robin hitting them onto the knotted gun – and the sculpture "TENNIS FOR PEACE" was then unveiled at the Swedish Open tennis championships at the center court in Båstad.
