To celebrate the 4th of July, we were among the hordes of art lovers from the city who traveled upstate to witness New Yorker art critic Peter Schjeldahl's famous firework display. Back in town, we stopped by the openings of summer group shows at David Zwirner, Gavin Brown's Enterprise, and Freight + Volume, as well as the much-hyped video shoot for Jay Z's new single, "Picasso Baby."
