About The Work
These lithographs by the late experimental choreographer and dancer Merce Cunningham depict Australian wildlife. Drawn in New York, they were printed at the Australian Print Workshop in Melbourne. Though he was a staunch advocate of non-representational dance, Cunningham often depicted the natural world in his visual art.
