    European Beech, Prospect Park, Brooklyn is a part of a larger project by photographer Mitch Epstein that aims to capture the beauty and complexity of the relationship between trees and their urban surroundings. Through explorations into the “lives” of the trees in his work, Epstein addresses themes of growth and the passage of time.
