    The series Melancholy Winter reflects the connection of cool, grey tones of winter weather in the Pacific Northwest and its effect on seasonal depression. These works are a release of heavy, burdening energy from the artist; each piece is a simple, minimalist notation of dark days gone by—days of a feared return to grey.
