    About The Work

Collaborating artists Anthea Hamilton and Nicholas Byrne focus intently on the theatrical and sensory experience of art. Their projects, often housed within twentieth century civic architecture, opens up spaces, normally inaccessible to the public. In this edition created for Glasgow International, Hamilton and Byrne re-present, alongside some collaged elements, the lyrics of “Don’t Touch Me Nylons,” a 1950’s hit from calypso singer The Charmer, later known as Louis Farrakhan—leader of the Nation of Islam.
