    About The Work

    The artist has spent many evenings hiking in the mountains, the Blue Ridge, the Smoky's, the Rockies. She has a fondness for dusk in the mountains.  As she uses her hands and a pallet knife applying thick oils to the canvas, her energy and interpretation appears.  When her initial ideas for the painting disappear and her intuition takes over, the magic happens.  Because of the thick oils, the artwork takes several months to dry.  The artist hopes that the viewer can sit back, take in the rushing stream and the mountains  and view the last rays of daylight as they illuminate the Eart.  Enjoy!
