    About The Work

Glorious, elaborate and eccentric - these are just a few of the words to describe Salvador Dali (1904-1989).

He is Surrealism's most accomplished and iconic practitioner.

Prolific and endlessly inventive, Dali worked in almost every possible artistic medium; film, sculpture, photography, fashion and of course painting.

Since the beginning of his career Dali worked in the graphic arts. Some of his earliest etchings date to the 1930's.

This exceptional work is from the "Joy of Bacchus" series.
