    About The Work

This color lithograph features the written out title of the 1966 Royal Guardsman song, “Snoopy vs. Red Baron,” which was inspired by a Peanuts recurring storyline of Snoopy imaging himself as a pilot fighting the notorious German pilot, the Red Baron.  As described on her website, Banner analyzes in Vs “how we mythologize ourselves, our history, and our willingness to be seduced by our own myths.”
