This original vintage poster was designed by Jean Cocteau for a Pottery exhibition at the Tribunal de Peche de Villefranche-sur-Mer, France. During his career, Cocteau made more than three hundred ceramic pieces at the workshop of Madeline Jolly, drawing parallels from the color of skin to the pink color of clay on which he ‘tattooed’ his drawings. Entitled ‘Astrologie’, the surreal design in this poster was later transferred to an earthenware dish.
Each individual work of art carefully curated by Mourlot Editions comes with a Certificate of Provenance, signed, dated, stamped, and numbered by Eric Mourlot.
