About The Work

These three prints are drawn from Ruff's series Zycles and Cassini. The Zycles prints, which appear as a dynamic array of colorful ribbons, is grounded and mathematics and physics, depicting computer screen-grab recordings of curves modeled in three dimensions. The Cassini series are based on photographic captures of Saturn taken by NASA's Cassini-Huygens Spacecraft. Infusing each grayscale image with saturated color, the results depict elegant and vibrant astral landscapes.
