About The Work
Marina Abramovic's Untitled is a quirky and engaging reinterpretation of her seminal work Spirit Cooking of 1997, wherein the artist created a provocative and instructional cookbook of aphrodisiacal recipes. The work was exhibited in a museum show that year, do it, and fifteen years later, Untitled is a charming performative kit that includes an original copy of the do it catalogue, a custom apron, and instructions inviting the viewer to “please dress yourself in the apron, open the book, and begin to realize the artist’s instruction of your choice.”
