    About The Work

Chris Burden’s print Draw Bridges depicts a collection of what are presumably reference images used by Burden in the development of his large-scale installations. These sprawling installation works feature machine-like cityscapes, as well as toy cars or trains that appear to follow complicated routes along tracks, overpasses, and bridges. The central image in the print is an advertisement for a model bridge, similar to those used by Burden in his sculptural constructions.
