Drawing inspiration from cartoons, comic books, and the neurotic tendencies of a generation that grew up hyper-stimulated and heavily medicated, Untitled is an encompassing example of David Shrigley's ability to maximize humor while employing minimalist techniques. Witty and confrontational, this work expands on the artist’s ongoing dialogue between the “artist” and the “audience.” Each letter of text in the print was hand-carved by Shrigley from lino, making the font entirely original.
