About The Work
The present work is a 1:39 reproduction of Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan's massive outdoor sculpture L.O.V.E., which was installed in the Piazza Affari in Milan, Italy in 2010. The 36-foot sculpture was ironically situated in front of the Palazzo Mezzanotte, the Italian stock exchange headquarters. Like the original, it is made of cast cement. Any imperfections to the surface of the work are intentional and a result of the casting process.
