    About The Work

As with all of Tiravanija's work, this handkerchief is about interconnection—in order to be used, something within the user's environment must cause its user to sneeze or cry.  An image of a plant being removed by human hands appears a reminder that humans frequently destroy their environments, and, in turn, also destroy any hope of interconnectedness.
