"If I was an artist and I was in the studio, then whatever I was doing in the studio must be art," Bruce Nauman has said of how he began his career. "At this point art became more of an activity and less of a product.” In Studio Floor Detail Nauman quite literally makes art out of his studio, documenting the clutter of the floor in this photographic print, the artist's practice and process itself becoming art in its own right.
