    About The Work

John Baldessari says: "PLEASE... sit on this chair!"

Commissioned by onestar press and designed by Sébastien de Ganay, the goal was to produce a lounge chair that could be produced anywhere: cut four pieces out of simple plywood on a local CNC machine - in order to make its carbon trace as low as possible - and assemble it in a minute with no screws or glue, the "4 Piece Chair" was born, designed by Sébastien de Ganay and customized by John Baldessari.
